Bangle bracelets are great fashion accessories. Unfortunately, many people cannot wear them because they can’t get a bracelet over a larger hand. When another bangle is big enough, it falls off!
This 2-day workshop employs a custom, oval mandrel that fits into a toaster oven. It can be adjusted to fit a variety of wrist sizes and the oval shape conforms to human anatomy. Students will work on my “Chaos Cane” the first day, ending with the many variations in which the pieces can be put together for a custom look. The second day involves making a bracelet blank with an inner channel for the insertion of elastic. Students then learn how to cover and finish the bracelet. A key to successful polymer clay is the finish! Classes include the steel mandrel, convex bracelet form and blades. Interested guilds and groups (minimum of 10) please contact me by email. |
